Zinc Meaning:
In commodity market terminology, Zinc refers to a metallic chemical element also known as Spelter. Zinc is considered an essential mineral in nutrition and is primarily used as an anti-corrosion agent in Galvanization, which involves the coating of steel or iron to protect them from rusting.

Zinc futures are traded on the London Metals Exchange LME. Contracts are for 25 tons of Zinc and are quoted in U.S. Dollars with a minimum price fluctuation of $12.50. Zinc futures also trade on the Multi-Commodities Exchange of India. Zinc futures trade under the symbol ZX on the LME. Commodities like Zinc can be traded by investors on most broker platforms.
